Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individuals, churches, and
corporate donors provide most of the money and materials to build
Habitat houses. New homeowners (partners) must invest 400
total
hours-- 300 hours in their home or HFH activity and 100 hours
in
another home. This investment is referred to as "sweat equity." Thus,
Habitat builds alongside those in need who are willing to give back to others.
